This year a total of 32 runners ran in the Jerusalem marathon on behalf of Dror for the Wounded. Our runners came from South Africa, USA, Australia and all parts of Israel and varied in ages. Some of our runners have finished their army service and a few of our runners are currently serving in the IDF as paratroopers.
Team Dror’s runners ran the full, and half marathons, as well as the 10km and 5km. A total of $12000 was raised by Team Dror that will go directly to wounded IDF soldiers!
Before and after the races, the runners came down to the Team Dror tent to relax, eat and rejuvenate themselves after tackling the mighty Jerusalem hills. An excited and energetic vibe filled the tent throughout the day. The tent was also an attraction for passers by who also came in to enjoy the company.
Wounded soldier Michael Amoyev was the guest star in the tent. He came to support our runners and everyone had a great time meeting him and hearing his story. You can also read his story here. We also thank our founder Eli Benson for flying in from London to run the half!
Thank you to all our amazing runners, volunteers and fundraisers for such a great and successful day!
Cant wait to see Team Dror in the Jerusalem Marathon 2017!!
